GIP

In one lineGlucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide, the second incretin.

Definition

Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide, the other incretin hormone. On its own it does little for weight; combined with GLP-1 activity in a single molecule, as in tirzepatide, it appears to add several percentage points of weight loss and better tolerability.
